  Policy 3.17 - Contribution Recognition

    WCTC is grateful for the charitable gifts received through the WCTC Foundation as these donations benefit students, programs and advance educational opportunities at the College.

    To enable the WCTC Foundation to accomplish its work, buildings or portions of buildings, grounds or facilities may be named after prospective donors. All areas of the organization are subject to naming. Such identification is useful to students, staff and visitors to help explain function and location, and shall be consistent with internal graphics and signage procedure. Areas may be named after distinguished individuals or institutions whose donation(s) and/or service to the organization and its mission merit honors and recognition.

    Recognizing the sensitivity and desires of donors, the naming rights shall comply with WCTC Foundation contribution levels as established per project. Approval shall be recommended by a four member committee consisting of the College President, Foundation President, College Board representative to the Foundation Board and the Foundation Chairperson with final approval by the WCTC Board of Directors (ie. consent agenda). The committee reserves the right to decline any naming opportunity that does not further the mission or goals of the College, business, educational and fiscal practices.
