If you already hold a State of Wisconsin licensure as an EMT-Basic, you can pursue additional training in IV access and fluid administration by taking the EMT-Intermediate Technician program.
- Upon program completion, be prepared to take the Wisconsin EMT- Intermediate Technician licensing exam.
- Enrollment priority is given to individuals affiliated with local fire departments or EMS providers.
- Evening course options available.

Admissions Process
- Must be age 18 or older
- Candidates affiliated with a Waukesha District fire department or ambulance service are given priority for class enrollment
- State of Wisconsin EMS - Basic License required

What is a Technical Certificate?
A WCTC technical certificate provides an excellent means for those already employed to cross train or to expand their knowledge through short-term training opportunities.
How to Get Started
- Prospective certificate students do not need to complete an application for admission to WCTC.
- First semester students may register during Open Registration for General Public.
- Prerequisite and program restrictions may apply.
- After the start of their first class, students may declare their intent to complete a certificate.
- Certificate students are eligible to receive priority registration for their second semester.
