Develop the skills and knowledge necessary to configure and support Windows 10 computers, devices, users and associated network and security resources. Students are prepared to work with networks configured as a domain-based or peer-to-peer environment with access to the Internet and cloud services. Topics covered will include installation, configuration, optimization, network configuration and troubleshooting of the Windows 10 desktop operating system.

150-178 Cisco1-Intro to Networks

Learn the architecture, structure, functions, components and models of the Internet and other networks. The principles and structure of IP addressing, and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the Cisco curriculum. By the end of the course, build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes.

150-179 Cisco2-Route/Switch Essentials

Develop an understanding of the architecture, components and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Learn how to configure a router and a switch for basic functionality. By the end of the course, be able to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with RIP, VLANs and inter-VLAN routing in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. Students will also learn to configure ACLs, DHCP and NAT. NOTE: Student should have completed 150-178 or 150-175 within last year.

Develop a solid foundation for using and understanding Linux, an open source operating system. Learn how to work with the shell, install software, edit configuration files, create scripts, manage processes and work with the Linux file system. Upon completion of the course, administer a Linux system by managing users and groups, set permissions and configure networking. This course also provides preparation for the Linux Essentials certification from LPI.
