605-148 Data Acquisition

Explore a broad family of measurement applications used to verify design work, analyze trends or characterize a process or a product. Study measurement systems that sense a physical phenomenon and track or record data over a time interval or operating cycle. Learn how to control systems and plot, chart, display and report measurements using LabVIEW software. Data acquisition incorporating a Freescale HC512 microcontroller is also explored. Learn about and use transducers (thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, temperature sensors, photo sensors, load cells, strain gauges, etc.) that respond to a physical phenomenon such as temperature by producing a proportional electrical signal. This course is a solid introduction to the National Instruments LabVIEW software and provides the opportunity for cerfitication as a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD).
