203-425 Basic SLR Camera Operations

The techniques learned in this course will help students create dramatic and interesting photos while learning how to use a single lens reflect (SLR) camera and lens. Students will learn how to make adjustments to the camera's settings for different lighting conditions, compensate for the limitations of auto-focus and digital lag, and adjust shutter speed and other related topics. Students enrolled in the course are required to provide their own SLR or DSLR camera and accessories. Two field trips on location are included in this course which will allow you to take great images outside of the classroom. Effective summer, 2014 this class may be taken three times.
