Discontinued Personal Enrichment Courses

It was the college administration’s recommendation to provide an additional 6 months to discontinue the program in order to allow students to finish their projects and provide time for removal of any personal items. They wanted to be sensitive to the course takers in the Personal Enrichment courses and not end them abruptly on July 1, 2019.

Based on data, these courses have incurred a net loss for the past three years. The college is projecting additional losses in fiscal year 2019-2020. The projected shortfall for next fiscal year is based on current trends in class enrollments and losses over the last three years.
The college focuses on retaining programs that have high job placement. We recognize other programs also have high operational costs, but those programs are also in high demand with business and industry.
The courses not included are: Motorcycle Training, First Aid/CPR, Math, Graphic Communications, Computer Applications, and Career Development. Please see below for a complete list of courses applicable under the proposal.
